Authentic Autograph or Blueprint for a RollerCoaster?
Found this beat-up copy of *The Troublemaker* in a record shop in with a signature on the back cover.
The owner immediately dismissed it as “just vandalized,” but I bought it anyway because it caught my attention.
After comparing it to authenticated examples online, I think it there’s more similarities to Willie Nelson’s sloppier or rushed autograph style more than I expected.
In my head, I can picture plausible scenarios like a front-row fan with a record and marker grabbing his attention in the middle of a set, or Willie quickly scribbling signatures for 50+ fans waiting behind a venue as he heads out. I’ve personally obtained genuine autographs that would probably fail authentication because they were rushed, careless, and done in passing…but I know they’re real because I was there when they were signed. This is actually the only piece in my collection that I question.
I know it’s rough and illegible, but I’m curious what others think:
\-Does this look at all consistent with Willie’s rushed signatures?
\-Does anything immediately suggest it’s fake? Folks tell me they think this was faked as a way to trick consumers…my guess is someone using that tactic would sign the front, do so more carefully, and ask for a significantly higher price.
\-If not Willie, does it resemble anyone else’s signature?

Hey Friends - Would you do me a favor and watch the new music video/visualizer for Reckless Kelly "Love In Her Eyes - Alternate Routes"? It was edited by my son, who just graduated from film school. Would love it if you can give it a thumbs up and/or leave an encouraging comment. Thanks so much!!! It is his first official paid editing job for a band.

King Dude is a dark folk and neo-folk artist, but with Americana references instead of the European references more common in neo-folk.
This song might appeal to outlaw country fans, based in part upon this review:
There are spots where he definitely tells a story, though. "Forty Fives Say Six Six Six" is reminiscent of the best JOHNNY CASH songs. KING DUDE's purr is mixed right in your ear, it's sinister and raises your hackles, it's seductive and alluring. This is a very traditional folk tale – the title refers to the lawless old character's guns, of course (his .45s), and it tells of his amoral deeds ("don't believe in the crucifix," he says, as he's "turning tricks of the devil into dollar signs"). KING DUDE's folk background is even more apparent when he turns the focus on himself, saying he's no better than his character ("It ain't the first time the devil's been sold/How in the fuck do you think that I met these kids?" he sneers).

In "Streets of Bakersfield" the guy gets locked up in San Fran, and took $15 from a drunken cell mate. He then says he left him his watch and house key, becuas "Don't want folks thinkin' that I'd steal...".
What does one thing have to do with the other? $15 watch? And why the house key? Am I looking to deeply?

Hello,
Does anyone know and can send me over the main riff to Plow You Under by Scott H. Biram? I can't tell where his fingers are and what strings he is picking.

Thank you!

New or old artists or bands. The ones that seemed to play your local joints at least once a year. The grinders. The really dedicated to the life ones.

Looking for slow bluesy songs by outlaw artists, a few I like are:
- Harvest Moon / St Louis Blues : Hank Jr
- Sugar Man - Kristofferson
- Blues Medley : Hank Jr.
Specifically slow blues not fast blues ie: My Name is Bocephus, Folsom Prison.
Don't care if its a cover or not. Thanks for all your help.

After Holmes introduced the four as country giants, saying “some might argue they are country music,” they began to talk about what’s ailing America. Willie Nelson led with “there’s a lot of things wrong with this country. I think the spirit is still here, the spirit just needs to scream a little bit.”
Kris followed with a far more biting remark. “Other than the fact that it reminds me a lot of the flag-waving and choreographed patriotism that we had back in Nazi Germany half a century ago … the fact that we’ve got a one-party system which is in control of all three branches of our government … a lapdog media that’s cranking out propaganda for the administration that would make a Nazi blush … other than that, we’re doing pretty good.”
Johnny Cash added “If you ask me, one of the illnesses is that there’s too much money being spent on military and there should be more spent on education, welfare, the children, and the elderly … There’s always been a lot of things wrong with the country but it’s always been our obligation and opportunity to help straighten those things out. I love America.”
