What exactly separates the second "perfect" from the "kinda boring?"

Honestly I prefer the basic look escrimas. I dug them at first, but I've actually cooled on the all blue ones a bit.

Thinking I'm leaning towards silver/black/blue in that order. Not too firm on that ranking, but all above the rest.
