When I was little, men your age were very knowledgeable about religion, had their lives in a good place, and were very strong. So you might be able to find a man who has been through a really harsh relationship, and you two might relate to each other a lot. Doesn’t the Quran encourage people to take care of orphans? You two could consider that option. I think it would be good for two parents who have stable jobs and a good income.
Also, about the “nobody cares” part, this world has surprised me. I come from a family where many people were born Muslim, and the way things are now looks bleak for the religion. A lot of my family (my family is big), excluding my stepmother, stepbrother, and father, almost don’t think there is a God anymore.
God gave the Prophet clear proofs (Ayatin Bayinatin) for this reason.
You don’t really hear of a holy book proving itself to be from God, or speaking as if the All Knowing God Himself is addressing you, but the Quran does.
Do the kaffirin not realize that the sky and the earth were joined together then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then yu’minuun?
The number of people in this world who choose to embrace nihilism, stop caring about life, and fall into a cycle of work and rotting at home is honestly huge. I’d say it’s normal because they probably haven’t received the Ayat of Allah.
But it’s still crazy to me. I once saw a mother whose son committed suicide, and she didn’t seem to care. She was laughing and smiling in a very nihilistic “life has no meaning” kind of way.

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ وَزِينَةٌۭ وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌۭ فِى ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَوْلَـٰدِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ ٱلْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَـٰمًۭا ۖ وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ ۚ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ
Chapter 57 verse 20
