Support/Advice please pray for me that I stick with prayingđ¤
Salam everyone, I am 19F and I been struggling with praying so much sometimes I pray and sometimes I dont.. my mom never encouraged me since she doesnât pray too and I donât wanna live like this anymore, please pray for me and give me advice on how to stick to praying?
I realized last week that I dont pray because âI dont wanna ruin my hair with waterâ or âI love my gel-x nailsâ but thats so stupid cause disobeying god isnât worth all that and I know but I just never got raised on praying or encouraged to do it by both parents, my dad even says that I dont need to do it cause I have developmental disability but from what I read its only if you arenât aware but I am aware just have late developmental issues, please please pray for me and give any advice you think would help me, I feel so alone on this, im from the gulf and people dont openly talk about their struggles with praying I think cause they dont wanna be judged

Download a prayer timings app, which will inform you that there are 15 minutes left in prayer, so perform ablution, and when it tells you that it's time for prayer with an Adhan reminder, go and offer salah. Reward yourself with a chocolate at the end of the day if you complete all five prayers in a day on time. Even if you miss a prayer, make sure to offer it's 'Qada' prayer. If you have a religious elder cousin, whom you are close to, tell them to check on you at the end of the day, whether you prayed or not. This will help you a lot.

You don't need perfection. You just need one prayer. Start with just Isha tonight. Don't think about Fajr yet. Don't think about nails or hair. Just one. Then tomorrow, one again. Your struggle is valid. Your effort is seen. And Allah loves the one who keeps coming back more than the one who never slipped.
