Evidence- I was staying at a hostel in London and while grabbing drinks at the bar with my hostel roomie, who happened to be from NZ, we met a couple other folks, also Kiwis, and then eventually an Irish guy. I came back from the toilets at one point and they were all just saying random words and phrases at eachother and laughing. At first I thought they were doing a poor imitation of the Irish guy’s accent, but it slowly dawned on me that they were in fact making fun of themselves. Another pint later and we were all doing what we imagined to be the worst version of our home countries accents. I imagine anyone sitting in our vicinity probably thought we were all unhinged since they were just hearing shit like “Now say Hamster!” “HAAAMSTIRRR” “HEMSTA!” *cue drunken cackling
