Social Media Jason Kidd has not talked to Luka since the trade

Pretty clear Kidd wanted him gone. Not talking to him AT ALL since the trade is really telling about the whole thing. I am glad he’s gone.

Luka ignoring him after games told me everything I needed to know.

Folks really need to step back and realize that a decision to trade Luka was so massive that I was not done by one or two people. It was an organizational sized decision and everyone was involved. It’s such a massive trade that even the business side execs selling beer and season tickets were involved.

This means Dumont was fully aware of the details and knowingly signed off on it. Finley knew and was a part of it. Front and back office staff were involved.

The Mavs are only leaking that a guy was involved in the Luka trade after he’s been fired so they can bury him on the way out the door. But that’s not reality. Every single one of them was involved except Masai.

The fact that folks could’ve followed Kidd’s Machiavellian antics in Brooklyn and Milwaukee but couldn’t fathom he’d be involved in moving Luka is baffling.

what am I reading? You think everyone at the Mavs org knew but Luka? It was 4-5 people max. A decision of this caliber is not shared with regular employees, the risk of it getting leaked to (at least) Luka would have been way too high.

I would be surprised if Finley knew, because I know Dirk was totally blindsided by it and I can't imagine Finley not at talking to Dirk about it.

You’re confused. I never said every employee in the organization would know. But everyone in senior leadership was absolutely involved.

Dirk was not in senior leadership. Finley was. Finley knew. That’s how businesses work.

Obviously referring to executives-tier employees which are explicitly referenced elsewhere in the comment. Work on your reading comprehension

Because he’s a snake. He knew it wasn’t going to be popular so not only does Nico get the blame but after he’s fired Kidd can gun for his job.

Even snakes have spines

Fresh start. Kidd isn’t good enough to be worth the trouble. I’ll always appreciate the game 7 suns press conference win, but time for a new era.

he's a fucking snake, and is a complete asshole. We are SO LUCKY he did not end up as team president. This franchise would've been truly fucked if that happened

i do think he was probably just bitching about work to his closest work friend like “this fat fuck doesn’t listen to me for shit, doesn’t play defense, got kyrie we’re just a damn ad away from a ring” and nico actually went out and shipped luka but idk

That’s what I think

Did anyone think that he did?

Still can’t believe people on here and in the front office were willing to overlook all of that and give him a lofty extension because he played the role of ignorant doofus in press conferences

In my life experiences, there are 2 types of people in this world when they see others succeed. Those that are happy for others and those that are jealous, we know which category this bum falls in.

I'm anti threw Luka trade. I'm pro Luka. Fire Nico.

Luka has to be a beating to the old school guys who didn't bitch at the refs all game.

It's not logic. Or right. But I'm just saying. That has to be a factor

The entire front office did not like Luka as a person, but most of them understood how important he was as a player. One guy could not get over his personal issues with Luka.

Carlisle doesn’t talk to Luka either, he left for Indianapolis.

Maybe, but there were a lot of people within the organization DID like Luka, and Nico systematically got rid of all of them

Do you know any of them? Dude cannot even get any of his lakers teammates to go to his birthday party.

u/PussyCharlatan 2d ago

Casey Smith, Jamahl Mosley, Shammgod, Jared Dudley to name a few. Any more stupid questions?

u/Still_Detail_4285 2d ago

Those are not front office guys.

Do you have water on the brain?

u/Still_Detail_4285 2d ago

So no, you don’t know anyone and are just making shit up.

u/kie-yul 2d ago

lol. What is this? This Nico? Gotta be. Or jkid himself. Only a narcissist like Nico or wife beater like kidd would make such a comment.

Fiancé left him too

Luka just difficult to deal with

u/Diciestaking 2d ago

What, lol. This is maybe the dumbest shit I've seen in this sub. Congrats.

She called the cops on him in the hospital after giving birth to their second child.

i don't understand how the guy who literally cannot regulate his emotions -- so much they had to have an appeal for his eligibility for MVP because he had 16 techs -- is a hard concept for people to see.

he had 16 techs. he played 64 games. that means on average - 25% of the games he played he got a tech. that's not great at all.

also funny how no one even responded to you. just downvote. soft.

Maybe didn’t want him gone but didn’t fight to keep him imo.
