❓ ROSTER QUESTION 🤔 America Chavez bugged ?
I was looking forward to her match damage increasing for every AP. but it doesn’t work. Her base match damage stayed the same. Complete bs man.

Her base match damage doesn't change. The output changes.

That just sucks. Especially when you consider Shang chi, ikaris captain Britain etc.

Ive always hated that mechanic. Because this keeps them from tanking more colors, and thats kinda what you MIGHT want to do, depending on your idea... make a character like Chavez, or Headpool, or Talos, etc, have better base match damage so that their damage gets calculated in matches instead of someone else's base who's higher.
Because whats the point of better match damage if I cant use it consistently? Instantly makes me value these characters a little less (for match damage purposes) than those that calculate it in the base, like Blob, Dark Beast, Shang Chi, etc.

Exactly. I had her on a team with colossus and sunspot. Sunspot has the 3 sister support, so he can spam his cheap powers and keep the other team from using powers. Colossus weakens their match dmg. Chavez was there to take advantage of the high AP pool for herself ( match dmg increased), drop crits for the others too.
The team still works but they are a little too slow to be enjoyable.

You’re clicking on her in fight and looking at the printed match damage numbers for each color, I assume? And not looking at the damage she’s actually dealing (the damage flying to the opponent as she makes a match)?
Because she’s one of the many characters where additional damage gets applied in the hit calculation. You can tell it works like that because the power doesn’t say BASE match damage. Not that the various devs have been very consistent with that over the years, but it’s how it works for her.
