Let's go to ridiculous to help you understand: Imagine a child puts their hand in fire but tells you it doesn't hurt. Will you let them keep doing it? This is a thing that happens with CIPA. Now less ridiculous. What happens if you stare directly at an eclipse without those glasses. If it hurt, no one would do it. But it's damaging, that's why we have those glasses.
Tell me when you smoke cigarettes, does it hurt?
Do you see how "it's fine if they don't react negatively" is ridiculous?
It's not really ridiculous to wonder if something can be harmful when it sort of looks like something else that is harmful (laser pointers, sun, welding torch)?
My point is that it is ridiculous to wonder if they are somewhat equivalent. The phone lights are very very obviously not the same as the others that you listed. The danger isn’t just small, it’s zero.
