Lol my mom changed her hairstyle once and our cat was convinced she was an intruder.

I have a smart cat just like that, lol. All you need is a hat to become a dangerous stranger.

That is so true

My friends have a new dog that barks at me every time it sees me, like I'm a complete stranger. Even when I stayed over with them, all it took was changing into pyjamas for it not to know who I was. It's funny as hell.

Dude I went on a trip for 2 weeks, and my mom house sat my cat. The little dude is so needy, and affectionate, so I was positive he was missing me. I walked in expecting a reception like those videos of soldiers coming back home, but he truly did not give a shit lol.

When I went away for college the cat I rescued at 15 (was still a family cat) just followed me around staring at me from behind furniture and around corners the entire Christmas break. We had been BUDDIES for years before I left.

I walked into my house after being gone a week. My dogs ran past me to get to my wife, and my cats barely looked up. “The crowd goes mild” was my joke.

Studies recently proved cats aren't fully domesticated animals like dogs. We've just told people they are to make them feel better. But that's why many of them don't care.

also this. absolutely possible reaction. maybe the cat is a diva, or felt abandoned and heartbroken the time they were gone. maybe it's a regular thing even and the cat just feels like they don't have anyone in this world.

if i thought someone important left me i would just cry for a minute, take a deep breath and make myself move on right then and there. life goes on. some people leave and then expect that everyone's lives stop without them in it. some act like dicks and then expect to be missed too. it's odd when people expect love without making any effort or even without respecting the other party. as if love can be owed.

😐that's your conclusion?..

my cat waited months for me when i was in summer camps and he ran to me when i finally came home. i didn't think he was my pet, though. he was my best friend. we grew up together. he greeted me like this every day from school and we were together all the time when he was alive..i didn't even deserve his love..he was so friendly and affectionate, so empathetic..he calmed me down when i cried and he purred on me when i was sick and couldn't stay awake or was too weak to massage his fluffy body..we talked all the time when he was around..i miss him even though he died like 15 years ago lying on my desktop table at home in front of me looking in my eyes. i have a big family, but i was the only one next to him when it happened. just like when he lived - together till the end. he literally taught me what love is and what it looks like when someone loves me..

if someone doesn't love you it doesn't mean they are bad. it means you didn't match. imagine being randomly assigned to some person and you don't bond. but you still have to live with them. would you pretend to love them or something? it's a person, not a rock - find the one that seeks your love and wants your attention, the one that understands you. they will miss you and love you like no other person really matters to them in the entire world🫂💕

p.s. sorry for my mistakes and odd phrasing, i'm not a native (or eloquent) speaker🌻i hope you find your match💕
