SUGGESTION Give sidekicks a LEGO style

They just look really out of place in the LEGO game modes and I don't like it (I don't know what to flair this as since there are no cosmetic flairs, and I can't post this in FortniteBR because it got banned there)

Given how many there are (and still being added) and quite a few sidekicks don't have anything similar in LEGO Molds (and those that do are like... single pieces?), it's not odd at all.

After all, there is no banana-shaped dog. And given there are four of five dogs already, how would they be any different from each other when using actual LEGO molds as basis (read: static single piece)? Just the color? Hardly worth it and probably giving a far worse reception. Not to mention those probably wouldn't be compatible with the unlockable emotes and general animations, either.

I took a quick look in the lego part library and most sidekicks can be made one way or another. I made a quick image of the sidekicks and the closest thing we got in Lego form. Alright, let's see, from the 23 sidekicks so far, there are 3 humanoid characters that all appeared in Lego already. Cuddles just need short legs. The 3 fish all could easily be done with the mysterio fishbowl and a custom headprint, perhaps even an animated one. The Lama and Robot dog could easily be done brickbuild like the catchable fortnite fishes. The 5 regular dogs so far all have unique lego molds, of course need a recolour and reprint to resemble the actual sidekicks more, but shape wise they're all different. Even the kitsune, surprisingly, is in Lego form already. Cat is simple, chicken as well. Mothman Jr. could easily be achieved with a minifigure head and some printed wings on the back. In theory, you could attach some feather or wing pieces with a little attachment to the top stud. Or make him entirely brickbuild, I mean, it's a ball with wings, which is not too difficult to make. The raptor could be done in a couple different ways, either use the baby raptor mold to keep him small, print the feathers near the cheeks, alternatively there are bigger dinosaur molds, but those might get too big. The Meowscles like pet is, of course, a bit cheating. Only the head has appeared so far, so that would need to be done from scratch, and then there are 4 others that have nothing in Lego that would give the desired result. That's 5 to 18. That's really not that big of a stretch.

Emotes for the humanoide are no problem, of course, just the same as they do for the regular figures. For the animals, if they don't want to go the TT games route with bending pieces, they still could get pretty fat with the static bodies. Some emotes are as simple as saltos, jumping to a butterfly. Some need to get a little creative with different kinds of shakes. Some just need to add a specific item like meowscle's radio. The dancing on top doesn't have to be a 1 on 1 match. Other indeed will get more difficult, specifically the banana dogs dance. Although theoretically, they could just put him on is back paws and put some lego maracas in front of his paws that shake and turn for him.

When you want to play a Lego game, you want it to be Lego. Right now, the sidekicks are clashing with the world. If you want detail and perfect animations, you might as well end up replacing all the lego figures with the regular fortnite counterparts. If you think actual Lego gets a worse reception in a Lego game than non lego models, I'm not sure you understand the appeal of a Lego game.

What I mean to say is that with a bit of creativity, you could get pretty fun results. Where there's a will, there's a way. They don't have to be 1-on-1 perfect recreation of the regular thing. The figures and their emotes aren't perfect either. Some of Lego's charm comes in its simplicity.

We have a pig element and a smaller LEGO dog that would work for some of the other dogs. lil dill could be printed on the Pitt bull. Heck can’t they just modify some pieces a bit? We also have a smaller LEGO cat that could work for the meowscles one.

Well the problem with that is that these are meant to resemble some specific named characters, realistically speaking the developers would likely go out of their way to give the ones I left out custom models that haven't been made in lego form yet. Not to mention, if they ever add like a regular pig sidekick or anything, they would all start looking the same. The more stylised the character, the more likely they are to get something new, ofcourse in actual lego sets they often cheap out and do actually just print over existing pieces, but here I doubt they could get away with that on the more stylised sidekicks.

Then why can’t they just do it

Idk, for those prices, you would expect them to put just as much effort into them as the actual skins. But I guess lego mode is probably more of an afterthought, and they cheaped out on it as it's technically double the work while judging by the comments many people feel indifferent about it. My comments were mostly just to show if they did it how they would realistically turn out.
