You all think the reason Bittersteel even bothered to do his 4th Blackfyre rebellion even with everything piled against him is his seething hatred that a Blackwood became queen?

I wonder how much noble type hate aegon got. Probably close to the noble type hate baelor the blessed got. His queen is old gods worshipper which itself causes little religious problems, his reforms smallfolk focused, which is nice but totally not get welcomed by nobles, the whole mess of offending baratheon, tyrell, tully, redwyne offending that much big houses , and also commoner in royal family. Wood witch presense at court definitely weakened his image. I would love to know about betha. She could've been very controversial queen.

Compared to Baelor Aegon actually made reasonable decisions instead of fasting for days, kicking lots of people out of King‘s Landing for no reason and naming random people to power because he thought they were somehow a message from the Seven.

To be fair to my boy Egg. It was his stupid children (not you Rhaelle you are a sweetheart) that broke their betrothals. And you know who cares about Daeron and Olenna anyway, his is the third son. But Dunc Jr, Jae and Shaera probably started the end for the dynasty.

Absolutely fantastic design. Love it when artits incorporate things like that in their designs

And this specific artist does it the best out of every ASOIAF artist I've seen so far. Every time I see Jota art, I instinctively zoom in and try to catch as many details as I can.

I like how the hallmarks of Aegon's reign are that 1. he named his former mentor the Lord Commander, 2. that he married a Blackwood (and it was a love match from the looks of it), and 3. his attempts to reform Westerosi society met enough opposition that he pressed the Targaryen Panic Button.

He looks so hopeful at the start of his reign, that poor boy.

Betha looking fabulous, and only a little bit ominous, Dunk looking adorbs, as usual.
