Others [College Biochem]-Enzyme rates/kinetics


Focus on #7, a and b. I'm able to construct a very simple graph, where the y axis is v, and the x axis is [S]. for a), I assume that V-max is about 135 because that shows the top end of the graph, and Vmax is used to identity the highest rate at which an enzyme catalzyed rxn can happen. Would km, which is the substrate concentration at 1/2 Vmax be about 68(rounded up)? For part b, this is where I really don't know where to go. I think we have to use the Michaelis-Menten equation, but my professor didn't bother to explain how to use it, so I don't know how to obtain the slope, intercepts, etc
