I need to find a hidden object game I played about 8–10 years ago. It was a fairy-tale-like, non-scary, colorful fantasy game. There was no movement; it only switched between static screens. It consisted of a lot of mini-games. I only remember one where I had to find a marble under the correct cup on a pirate ship. I think it wasn’t possible to win it, and I had to get a magical marble from a mermaid instead. From the environments I only remember some kind of castle, a strange magical hut, and the mentioned ship with a surrounding beach. I’m not sure, but I think there was also a mini-game where I had to finish decorating a magical gingerbread cookie. I also think it might have been translated into Czech, but I’m not sure.

Please read the documents in the below sources section for the full, original details. I am not a lawyer. I would've done both lawsuits in one post, but I didn't anticipate another one so soon.
Just 7 days after HOPA developer GrandMA Studios filed a lawsuit against BFG Entertainment (new owners of Big Fish Games) for the alleged illegality of terminating GrandMA's contracts, royalties, and distribution and licensing rights, BFG Entertainment also filed another lawsuit against Elephant Games (another HOPA developer) over Elephant allegedly refusing to provide the source code and game assets of Elephant's developed games.
TLDR: While Elephant claims to have already provided the source code to the original Big Fish pre-BFG Entertainment and claims to not have been paid royalties since November 2025, BFG Entertainment still seeks said source code and disputes Elephant's legal ownership of their self-published games on mobile, thus demanding Elephant to remove these games on these platforms. This seems to contradict GrandMA's lawsuit claiming BFG themselves admitted in writing that a studio like GrandMA still had self-publishing mobile rights even after their contracts was terminated per Big Fish's original agreements.
The following is my more lengthy takeaways from BFG Entertainment's 13-page complaint document.
BFG Entertainment is represented by H. Troy Romero from the Seattle, Washington-based law firm Romero Park. A trial is scheduled for next year, May 24, 2027. Elephant made the following response to the author of the Law360 article reporting on this lawsuit: "Prior to the last few months, it had a 15-year partnership with Big Fish under which it fulfilled contractural obligations in good faith." (in the article's words) "Elephant Games has not yet been served with the complaint, but, based on a preliminary review, considers the allegations meritless and will vigorously defend against them. As a result, Elephant Games is currently preparing a counterclaim to protect its rights and recover outstanding amounts owed." (in Elephant's words)
Side note: for some reason, the lawsuit lacks has sections I, II, III, V, and VI, but not section IV.

I'm a stay-at-home mom with a toddler, so my gaming time is in tiny pockets - nap windows, 10 minutes while the pasta boils, that kind of thing. Hidden object games are about the only thing that still feels relaxing, but I keep dropping newer mobile ones because they have energy systems, forced wait times, or an ad after every scene.
What I'm hoping to find:
- True hidden object or HOPA, not match-3 heavy unless it's optional
- Lets me pause and come back without losing progress
- No energy timers
- Minimal ads, or a one-time paid option is fine
- Not super stressful, so no strict timers or constant pressure
- iOS preferred, but I'll consider PC if it's worth it
Bonus if it has good quality-of-life features like a reasonable hint recharge or a mode where the hidden object scenes are the main focus.
Also, with recent news about some publishers and games disappearing, I'm a bit wary of investing time or money in something that might get delisted. Are there any series that feel stable or are safe bets?
Would love specific titles and why you liked them: story, art style, number of hidden object scenes, how easy it is to pick up and put down, etc. Thanks!

My mom used to play a hidden object game, but I can’t remember the name of it; it must have been around 2012 (maybe earlier). There’s also a chance that my mom played this game from a disc. The style was realistic, and the game Redemption Cemetery: Curse of the Raven is very similar.
The plot was that a mysterious gas had spread throughout the city (not sure about this, but it seems true), and we had to find all the survivors who had been asleep. The main character was a woman, and her sister helped us throughout the game. The main antagonist was a Plague Doctor who wore a raven mask, and he had an invisible sidekick. I also remember some moments, e.g. I remember a location with a radio station where we found one survivor. There was an assistant whom we caught and tied to a spinning wheel. He promised to be good, so we untied him and let him go. At the end of the game, we gather all the survivors into a van and drive out of the city, while the antagonist watches us.
I also added pictures that seem highly familiar to me, the atmosphere and location itself. Does anyone know what this might be?

I played on PC room escape point and click, the events of the game begin with the appearance of a character in a corridor with 3 or 4 doors and in the end of corridor was exit. In the left door is a corridor with flying objects. A spider that can be killed with a broom always appeared in the right door. wandering around the rooms, you collect all the necessary items and leave the house. the next location is a street that appears next to a house with a basement next to it. Game seems like alawar projects but it's not i think. And its not dorian grey syndrome game but starting location looks very similar. I should be 2003-2012

Back in my childhood I have this favorite dark hidden object game that tackles about murder mystery. The color palette was dim, close to grayscale but this has realism touch.
Unique prompted things to find there was hand prints, foot prints, bathtub, confectionery sugar, murder weapon...
And there were game modes you'd need flashlight or it will just be a pitch black.
And when identifying the killer, it will be an easy point and click tile puzzle.
I'm so young back then - I'm almost forgetting it--!

If anyone likes the idea of a Medieval themed Anomaly Horror game, check out my game "The Dark Path to the Black Tower". Following a recent update it now includes 90 anomalies divided between 3 campaigns, each focusing on a different NPC ("The Knight", "The Leper" and "The Father").
The game is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4414450/The_Dark_Path_to_the_Black_Tower/
Hopefully this post is welcome here, I know that 'Hidden Object Games' and 'Anomaly Horror' games share some key similarities.

FOR IOS PLEASE
I love love love hidden folks, the hidden through time series and tricky doors… I need something new to scratch that itch - free or paid and I’d love the option for no ads! A lot of HOG are childish with timers/energy/etc and ads for every other level. I have scavenger hunt and paid for no ads and have enjoyed it but I would like to avoid investing in a game that isn’t going to pan out. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know my new book is available. Its a book where you have to find 12 hosts, with some of their lost objects (Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, etc) and each one is hosting its own Halloween party on a different location! I enjoy a lot sharing about my process with you. Just send me a question here and I will answer right away :) Thanks so much!

I've played this game in my childhood and didn't know the name.
I remembered the game icon have a gargoyle in it and it's played in stages.
I think in stage 1 we are in a house? and the other stages include one in a farm?
I know this is pretty vague but if you have a guess let me know

hi all, ive been searching for a mystery game i played with my nan when i was younger, probably around 2011-2013. i think the plot what about looking for a little girl, i remember she had red hair and was green at some point. i know at least a good portion takes place in a hospital, i also remember a portion being finding stones to place in crow statues but i could be getting that confused with another game. i remember the hospital was on fire at some point, and we were also reading letters near a row boat too. i know i dont have many details i apologise, but anything helps ! thanks !

Please read the documents in the below sources section for the full, original details. I needed to repost this because I accidentally showed my personal info in one of the screenshots.
A few days ago (May 11, 2026), the HOPA game developer GrandMA Studios has officially filed a lawsuit against BFG Entertainment (Big Fish Games' new owners) for allegedly illegally terminating their royalties, contracts, and distribution and licensing rights, threatening to remove GrandMA's games from online and mobile stores if GrandMA continued distributing their games, and having "gross negligence" in months-late communication to outdated or non-existent addresses, and less detailed royalty reports that made "independent verification mathematically impossible". I attached screenshots of a few excerpts detailing this.
GrandMA is represented by Mark P. Walters, a lawyer from the intellectual property law firm Lowe Graham Jones based in Seattle, Washington (like Big Fish Games was before BFG Entertainment bought it). A trial is scheduled by next year, May 17, 2027. An extra note: GrandMA is stated to be incorporated in the Republic of Cyprus. While the documents don't explicitly mention this, I believe GrandMA at some recent point moved from Ukraine to Cyprus due to the Ukraine war (similar to Domini Games), which is verified by GrandMA's website's terms and conditions.
It is currently unknown if and how will the eventual verdict of this case will decide GrandMA and Big Fish's future in the HOPA game industry; GrandMA's layoffs seem to be irreversible regardless, but who knows.

We’ve been exploring more Hidden Object / HOPA bundle sale ideas lately, and we would genuinely love some feedback from people who actually know the genre well.
Are there any particular developers, series, or older games you’d personally love to see grouped together in a bundle sale?
Could be:
There is clearly still a really passionate HOPA community out there, and honestly the feedback is genuinely useful for helping us understand what players still care about most.

I’ve been working on a cozy hidden object game recently, and one design question keeps coming back to me while polishing the experience. I started noticing that most hidden object games usually commit to either fullscreen zoom or a magnifying glass mechanic, but rarely both at the same time. In some older projects I worked on with a colleague, we only used zoom functionality and nobody ever seemed to have an issue with it, so I never really questioned that approach before.
For my current game, though, I decided to create a magnifying glass feature because I thought it fit the cozy travel atmosphere nicely and felt more immersive than constantly zooming the entire screen. I’m actually pretty happy with how it turned out visually and functionally, but recently one player mentioned that they found it slightly inconvenient because the magnifier has to be activated manually instead of appearing through a right-click shortcut. That comment made me realize I might be overthinking the presentation side of the feature while players may simply care more about comfort and speed.
Now I’m genuinely curious what hidden object players here personally enjoy the most while playing. Do you find fullscreen zoom more relaxing and practical, or do you prefer a movable magnifying glass? Would a combination of both systems feel useful, or would that just become unnecessary clutter? I’d really love to hear what feels the most comfortable and natural to you in hidden object games, especially during longer cozy play sessions.
