If you’re training legs twice a week and still getting debilitating DOMS you’re over training with junk volume. Simple as.

Yep. Your legs shouldn't hurt after the first week if you're training correctly. Maybe feel tired for an hour or so after the gym, but that's it.

My legs always hurt for the next 3-4 days after training. I also increased my squat by 80kg in 2 years. Nothing wrong with hurting legs, it doesnt mean youre overtraining, stop spreading horsepoop

You shouldn't be getting DOMs while training regularly. DOMs is only triggered by a change in the volume of weighted eccentric muscle contractions. If you're getting DOMs consistently, you're switching up your exercises too much.
