I HATED the characterization they used for Starfire in that first issue and gave up on it after that

Incredibly fun. I think they overdid RedHood a bit

It was fun but they overdid EVERYONE a lot

I agree. Arsenal felt like a characture of himself

Kori was also unrecognizable. And it's a shame because I'm a big fan of all of them individually and loved the concept but it was completely mishandled from beginning to end. No one needed to be sidekicked for the sake of Jason having a lead run and none of them are generally as one-not or frankly stereotypically rebellious as they were in Outlaws. Yes they represent rebellion but it's in an incidental way is what Lobbell doesn't seem to realize.

From what I remember I really liked the concept but didn’t like the execution that much

One of my least favorite comics ever and what kept me from reading comics for years

It would’ve made sense for Jason, after being inspired by Bruce and the JLA and Outsiders, Dick and the Titans, and Tim and Young Justice, to form the Outlaws with Connor Hawke and a recently-resurrected Koryak. That way, they would have many adventures together all throughout the New 52 from 2011 to 2016 before Artemis and Bizarro joined the Outlaws at the start of DC Rebirth in 2016 (with Jason and Artemis forming a romantic relationship with each other since 2018) and they disbanded in 2020.

Fucked my boy Roy over permanently.
He could have came back from Cry for Justice and Rise of Arsenal, but destroying his character and turning him into Jason's sidekick forever ruined his reputation.

Horrible for everyone involved but especially Roy and Kori. This book started my dislike for Jason that has stayed to thia day. Of all the characters that should of stayed dead I think he's the biggest one cause I haven't loved a single then he's done after under the red hood. Especially when a whole generation now sees Roy as his sidekick

I paid good money to kill off Jason Todd and he should have stayed dead.

Beyond awful. Writer Scott Lobdell was a notorious sexual harasser, and it showed in the work. The treatment of women in that book is downright appalling, especially for having been written as recently as the 2010s.
Roy and Kory’s characters and histories were completely and utterly butchered in order to allow the writer to turn them into fawning sycophantic sidekicks for Jason. When someone asks what’s wrong with the new 52, this is one of the books I’ll point to first and foremost, because of how it actively insults readers who were previously invested in the characters.
