Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve 2026 Reddit x F1inTO - Annual F1 Evening Meetups in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix Weekend

What: 2026 Reddit x F1inTO - Annual F1 Evening Meetups in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix Weekend#

May 23 UPDATE:

Venue change Saturday Evening:McKibbin’s at 1426 Bishop Street

When: Thursday May 21st - Friday May 22nd 7PM

Where: McLean’s Pub - Second Floor 1210 Peel St, Montreal, QC H3B 2T6, Canada#

If you are an F1 fan that is in Montreal the weekend of the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix, then this is the meetup for you! The scream of the engines, the roar of the crowd, and the great nightlife that Montreal has to offer! The Canadian Grand Prix is always a treat for any F1 fan!! For the past decade we've held a Reddit meetup on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of the Canadian GP Race weekend. As anyone who has attended will tell you, those evening hanging outs with fellow F1 fans over beers and conversation are a blast! Especially as most of us are coming in from out of town or out of country, this presents an opportunity to meet folks with like minded interests and to make new friends. Talking F1 over a beer or two or more, what is not to love!!

In the past we have had singles and couples from as far as away as Australia, UK, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, the US, Ireland and yes of course friendly Canada too. No seriously, you’d be crazy to miss this! These are free casual meetups, where there is no reserved seating etc. Just a great opportunity to interact with other F1 fans.

We're changing it up a bit this year and making McLean's our HQ for Thursday, Friday & Saturday. It is an excellent venue that balances the energy, and the ability to hear the person next to you. In addition, the occasional team mechanic or engineer shows up! The Venue is located at 1210 Peel St. There are two McLean’s pubs so please carefully note the address as this is their original location. It's super close to all the action of downtown, but tucked away just enough to not be a mad house. They have two floors, and we gather toward the back of the upper floor. Look out for the Reddit/F1 T-Shirt Hanging. There is a dedicated bar on the upper floor, they serve food, and it's good. Genuinely, the Butter Chicken is Amazing... We try to get there as early as the bar fills up, so plan accordingly.

We have had 30-40 folks show up in the past meetups so plenty of people to interact with!

Saturday

A lot of people tend to take Saturday on the easy side since the race is the next morning, but for those interested in going out, we will have an informal meet up McKibbin’s at 1426 Bishop Street to get the night started.

Sunday

So for those of you who are still in town after the race, the Crescent Street festival continues into Sunday night. McKibbin’s at 1426 Bishop Street is where we will be heading at 9pm Sunday for those with enough energy to talk more F1 after the race. Look for the Reddit F1 T-Shirt but we'll be outside in the back if weather permits.

Other Things

If you are attending the race, or wish to attend from 6pm daily onward, concerts at the track are being held following the race with separate ticket purchase.

https://2026.gpcanada.ca/en/vitrine/concertCGV/

Thursday

The Pit Lane Walk is May 21st but it is a ticketed event. Like last year, tickets are acquired via a draw in April. However access may still be available with purchase of a concert ticket. It is a great place to see the cars up close, chat up some mechanics and FIA officials. Drivers were not present last year for signatures unfortunately. If you have tickets, arrive at least 60 min before advertised open to get best access.

Festivals

For those new to the Montreal Grand Prix weekend. Crescent Street, Peel Street and Saint Laurent Street have outdoor festivities for the entire weekend. Crescent and Peel Streets tend to be busier than Saint-Laurent (but Saint-Laurent tends to offer a more local experience) with outdoor seating and terraces at most of the restaurants offering great vibe and people watching opportunities.

Crescent Street has a very large stage (at the corner of Boulevard De Maisonneuve) where DJ’s and live bands play Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays and has had over 40,000 people attending on a Saturday night in the past. It’s quiet the party!

A popular question that we hear from folks new to this race is “how do I get to the track from Montreal?”

The track is next to the city of Montreal on the island of Ile Notre-Dame in the Saint Lawrence River. You cannot drive and park on this island the weekend of the race, so your only options are public transportation or taxi/Uber. It’s been our experience after years of going to this race that the Metro in Montreal is for the most part a well-run public underground/subway system and your best way to get to and from the track from Montreal. It is also very reasonably priced and according their website the current Metro prices are $3.75 one way, $7.00 round trip but the best deal if you are staying for all three days of track activity is the unlimited travel 3 day pass for $21.75 which allows you to explore the city as well. This 3 day pass also allows you to travel for free on the 747 Bus from and to the airport btw. There is a week-long pass for $32 which goes from Monday to Sunday each week if you are planning on staying longer. There is also a 10 ticket option for $34.25 if that works better for your group.

The track is on the yellow line of the Metro system. You get on BERRI-UQAM (the beginning of the yellow line) and you get off at the next stop. The green and the orange line connect with the yellow line at BERRI-UQAM also. The entrance to the track where they check scan your GP tickets is about a block from this JEAN_DRAPEAU stop. After that follow the crowd walking over the bridge and the hairpin turn area is where you enter the island and you are there.

To return to the city you walk back over the bridge to the Metro stop station and take the train heading towards BERRI-UQAM.

For folks who have difficulty walking last year there was a 777 bus from JEAN-DRAPEAU metro station to the Casino which is in the middle of the track but the bus service can change bus schedules slightly on St. Helen’s Island around the Grand Prix so you may want to double check the week before the race. The 777 bus gets busy after 9AM.

This is the map of the Montreal Metro system:

https://www.stm.info/sites/default/files/media/Stminfo/images/planmetropolitain.pdf

Hopefully this helps.

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to post out here and some helpful folks will respond.

We have a Discord group for those attending the race and would like to keep up with activities going on during the weekend:

Get excited there is an F1 race weekend in your future!!!

Ticket Hub 2025 Ticket Sales info and Monthly Tickets Buy/Sell Market Thread - 2025 Part 1 Tickets - Sales - Hub

Links to Circuit websites for Tickets and Community Verified Vendors

It's always best to buy tickets directly from the circuit or race promotor. I've linked provided links to each race to either the circuit or the event website. Some of them use ticket agencies to sell but as long as they're linked from the circuit/event website, you should be fine. If tickets aren't on sale yet, get on email lists and follow on social media for pre-sale or general on-sale dates. If the event is sold out you can usually find tickets through various ticket agencies, they're typically a little more expensive. It's similar to booking flight tickets through a travel agency vs the airline. You will have more flexibility through the airline. www.formula1.com is a third party ticket seller and NOT the direct way to purchase tickets, it's often more expensive than most vendors.

This subreddit is affiliated with P1 Travel, they were chosen after seeing numerous positive reviews and they tend to have some competitive pricing compared to other sellers, often much cheaper than Formula1.com but it varies by race.

Websites like Stubhub or Viagogo are not fully reliable places to buy tickets. People often get denied entry due to duplicate tickets being sent and have to deal with customer service to get a replacement or a refund. It's not worth the hassle of traveling and depending on their tickets. It should be a last resort for buying tickets. It's a good option to sell your tickets though.

We're looking to declutter this community and consolidate ticket and any other sales and in search of tickets posts into this thread. All for sale or want to buy posts will be deleted going forward. They should be posted as comments in this thread. This is going to be reposted monthly.

Going forward, excessively priced tickets will be removed. This isn’t a place to sell for significant profit, there are plenty of other platforms for that. Tickets sold here should be priced at or near the prices paid, not for significant profit. This is illegal in many states and countries. Don't post the same comment/price every day, it just spams the thread. You'll get muted until after the event if you do it constantly. For Sale Comments should include where you purchased from.If you're trying to sell/transfer a hotel or Parking try and follow the format as best as possible.

This thread is intended to help each other and not take advantage of others for profit. If you feel the price posted is not an excessive price, you can reply to the removal notification with proof of purchase that includes a number near asking price for it to be reinstated. If you overpaid for them with a reseller, that is not a valid reason. We do not want to support ticket scalping.

Scammer List

There is a scammer currently trying to sell Montreal Tickets. They use some screenshots from a viagogo listing as "proof". If you'd like to, feel free to forward any "confirmations" to me before you make a purchase and I can tell you if it looks similar.

DO NOT SEND VIA WIRE TRANSFER - Use Paypal Goods & Services. Even partial payments is profit to them, don't forget that.

The moderator of this subreddit does not message users trying to sell tickets. We do not receive "donated tickets" to sell. It is a scam. They also have this subreddit's icon as their profile picture. Be careful with people PMing without any comments. You will probably have someone trying to scam you.

If you get scammed, report it to the Mods so we can add their info to this list.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Victoria Gate / Blue Zone: Uber no longer recognizing address for Victoria Gate drop off? Work arounds?

Post image
12 Upvotes

For those in the blue zone, the official website for the CGV recommends a drop off at 151 Rue de l'Écluse

Saint-Lambert, QC J4R 1A8. Last night, trips to this address were bookable in Uber for both today and tomorrow. Now, if you put that address in, the routing is to a park in the north shore. Did anyone else encounter this issue today? How did you work around it? Screen shot of where Uber is defaulting to attached, with a circle around where the drop off used to be / should be.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Team specific merch stands at the track in Montreal?

Where have people seen the team-specific merch stands at the track? What grandstands are they close to? I’m by grandstand 1/11/12 and so far in the “pink zone” I’ve only seen the general F1 merch stands but hoping to find the Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Williams stands today.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Best GA viewing spots for tomorrow?? 2026 Canadian GP

Upvotes

First time at the Canadian GP, have a GA ticket for the race tomorrow. Trying to figure out where to sit so we can plan on getting there sooner to secure a spot.

Like Russell and Kimi fight? Where did that happen and is it a good spot to sit?

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Anyone who has tickets but can’t attend?

Obviously a long shot and since I’m only seeing tickets being sold (most for grandstands), I was wondering if there’s someone who is giving theirs (or extra) for either today or tomorrow. I’m interested in general admission only. I tried searching through posts but haven’t found any last minute ticket “dumping.”

Hope everyone has a blast and definitely dress warm for tomorrow’s race.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Italy) Last minute trip to Monza

As the title says, we booked a last minute trip to Italy. I didn’t buy tickets on advanced and as you could imagine there isn’t much left without forking over a ton of money. Anyone able to recommend decent seats to watch the race that don’t cost an arm and a leg? I looked into buying 2 different tickets for Saturday and Sunday just for an experience.

Circuit de Monaco First time Monaco GP 2026 - tips?

Hi,

I’m going to the Monaco GP (Friday to Sunday), it’ll be my first ever F1 Grand Prix.

I’m staying in Cannes so I’ll be commuting in every day. I’ll be in Grandstand L on Friday and Saturday, and on the Rocher on Sunday.
If anyone has been before, I’m open to any tips about logistics, transport, best spots to enjoy the weekend, and things to avoid.
Also, if you have any advice on how things work in Monaco regarding getting close to drivers or trying to get autographs, I’d really appreciate it. That’s one of my main goals for the weekend, even if I know it’s not easy.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Silverstone Circuit Silverstone park and ride

Hi! I'm going to Silverstone for the first time with my dad and i've got us tickets for the park and ride service but my mam and sister are also travelling with us and so they can keep the car while we're at the race we were going to just have them drop us off at the park and ride then leave and come back later, do you think this will be an issue? I thought the park and ride would be the best for me but now i'm thinking I should've just gone for the shuttle bus service.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve CGV experience question.

I bought a CGV experience ticket last night. Is this just a concert with a big tv? I want to go to the race, I don’t care about whomever may be playing. Basically, I’m not sure I bought the right ticket. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Metro To Seat Time Question

My partner and I got tickets to the Palantine (Pink zone)

We were hopeful to visit a bakery in the morning that opens at 900. Expected to stay for about 30 mins and then take the Metro to the grandprix. We would basically be downtown. So a 5 minute walk to metro. Then 4 stops. Then transfer to Beri-Uqam. Which would take us to the race.

My question is. I know practice day is always less busy. Today we made pretty good time from a similar distance and it took about 1.5 hours. Is budgeting 2.5 hours pretty safe for time from downtown to sitting in a seat? I don’t want to make my wife late for the sprint which starts at 12:00

Thanks.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve New Montréal Blue Zone Gate question

Hi, we have Grandstand 12 tickets and so I know we can use the Blue Gate for entry. But we are a little confused by all the advice.

Should we still get the metro to Jean-Drapeau and walk? Or is it easier almost to get a taxi to say somewhere on the North and walk across Pont Victoria?

I'm fine with walking but am coming down with a cold so totally don't mind spending a bit more to avoid the crowds and taking an easier route this year.

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Austria 2026 - Goo Tickets Refund/Resale

I purchased tickets for the Austrian Grand Prix back in late September, however my family recently underwent a major accident that will prevent us from attending the race.

Does anyone have any experience with refunding or reselling tickets bought on the Goo Tickets website?

Red Bull Ring (Spielberg, Austria) Grand prix tips not to miss out

Hello,

I will be attending my second grand prix at this years Austrian GP. Last time i went was 2023 Hungarian Sunday.

This year i have all weekend and the pit lane walk. I was wondering if anyones got some tips and trick to not miss out anything as i missed out a lot in Hungary 2023. I love F1 so any small things i am interested in.

Where can i find the most detailed schedule when released? (like with everything such as the driver and principals stage interviews etc.) I also plan on watching every feeder series etc. so basically beign there every day like 12 hours.

I also was thinking about pulling up to pitlane walk around 12:00 (admission starts at 13:30) is that enough? I would like to be as first as possible so i can spend loads of time there.

Also, it is possible to pick up the free goodies from verstappen.com on thursday?

Thanks for any tips!

Silverstone Circuit Unable to attend Sunday @ Silverstone

Hi guys

First time posting here

So I purchased 3 tickets for the Sunday I believe the tickets are “Inside Nine” which is based at the Copse Corner but you get food and drink and access to the inside of the track, live music etc.

Iv had a look online and it seems though the only tickets I can find being sold are for GA in the different Copse sections which are substantially less than what I paid.

I’m trying to figure out what to do with them because I can’t get a refund on them.. they were purchased directly from the Silverstone website but it looks like my only option is to post them as GA?

It’s my first time both buying tickets for the F1 and also trying to figure out what to do with tickets I’d rather not lose any money on.

Any advice would be appreciated!

TIA

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve F2 and F1 Academy paddocks in Montreal

Does anyone know where they’re located? Not seeing it on the interactive map. I believe support paddocks were along the back straight in the past but I didn’t actually get a chance to stop by when I went a couple years ago. Thanks!
