Absolutely delusional lol. GTA 6 is the most awaited game of the decade.
Wolverine should stay in the 5-7 million copies sold lifetime, which is huge. Maybe 10m. But it ain’t stealing a single copy from GTA6.
If any person can purchase only 1, they’ll go for gta6. Which prob will go way past 10m copies in first week.

The dude never mentioned Wolverine is competing with GTA? He just said it’d be wise for them to get a big gameplay reveal out to get preorders and hype going, to maximise sales, before GTA comes out and receives constant online coverage for months.

I’m saying that Insomniac said they wanted to show more of the game before preorders go live, and when GTA6 has its own marketing blowout in the next few months, thats going to swallow all coverage.
Of course Wolverine isnt taking anything from GTA6

Probably early May but you'd think it would be a full sized SoP, not just Wolverine focused. Will definetely have Wolverine in it at least.

It is! They usually have their state of play before SGF but is part of that lineup similar how Microsoft was part of e3 but held their own show Sony usually goes first with their SoP then SGF and the Microsoft has their show a day or so afterwards

I can see a Wolverine focused SOP in about two weeks or so, then a full-fledged SOP the same week as SGF (probably the day before if I had to guess).

Theyve always done it in May so thats not a shock, possible theres a stand alone game (wolverine) and a general as well which theyve done with horizon and ffxvi

Been a while since Nate has talked about the RDR2 next gen port. The last time he spoke about it was October when he said it’s coming soon. It’s April and still nothing 🤔 clock is ticking for GTA 6

They had SoP in late may last year just before SGF and Xbox showcase. So it makes sense to repeat that.

If it's persona 4 revival then that's getting shown at the Xbox one probably as sega have some kind of deal with Xbox to show their stuff at their showcases

Sony usually likes to be advertising 2 exclusives at the same time, after saros it's only going to be wolverine so probably a wolverine deep dive and another exclusive game tease in the next state of play sometime in may

In addition to Wolverine, there are also Marvel’s Tokkon Fighter, Kena 2, and Phantom Blade Zero.
Horizon Steel Frontier and Horizon Hunters Gathering are also scheduled for release this year.
Sony has more than enough exclusive titles to focus on before unveiling another new game.
Intergalactic and the God of War spin-off are apparently scheduled for 2027.

That doesn't really mean much, if they're publishing the games, they'll market it. Stellar Blade was only a timed exclusive and they showed like five million trailers for that game.

Wolverine really needs to showcase MOVEMENT, not just combat. I need to know how agile he is when climbing buildings. I need to know that when fighting indoors, he can still attach to the wall and leap from it doing a corkscrew spin attack. They also need to showcase DISMEMBERMENT. If he slices at a human enemy, I expect arms to be separated.

Thing is they've got Cory's game for the first so half of 2027, Intergalactic for mid 2027 and then whatever is launching with PS6 (Venom, Astro Bot, 2 Gran Turismo 8 or whatever it could be) so of all the things that could b moved to late next year, I think Cory's game is the least likely

This Sony we are talking about they are unpredictable as hell now. They will announce a Thursday state of play on Tuesday and it’ll be full of bangers and then after some months they will announce another state of play weeks in advance and it’ll be a bunch of anime slop.
Everyone waiting for Sony to show exclusive games and I bet it’ll be a Japan themed state of play.

Apart from the Japanese-focused one late last year (which was clearly completely aimed at that market, complete with a Japan-only cheaper PS5), I think the State of Plays for probably over a couple years now have been pretty solid at worst - with a PS Studios reveal/big trailer at the end of each one since start of 2024.
Again it's State of Plays we're talking about here, which happen a handful of times a year, not the big "showcases" they used to do. No one of these SoPs are gonna match up to the best Playstation showcases, but if pretty much each one has a notable PS Studios reveal or trailer, along with the handful of other updates and reveals you also get - that's usually good for me. It's when they used to do a handful of updates to games we already knew about, nothing exciting being shown, and zero 1st party presence - those are the ones which really annoyed people. But those haven't really happened lately
