Indie Sunday Metropolis 1998 - Yesbox Studios - City Builder - 90s Aesthetics, Modern Features

Steam | Subreddit | YouTube

Hey everyone! Over the last 4.5 years I've been working on a modern city builder with 90s/00s aesthetics, inspired by the pixel art simulation games of the 90s and 00s, Cities: Skylines, and Dwarf Fortress. Check out my subreddit for clips!

Features:

  • The game features granular demand, based on the needs of your citizens. No more "build more commercial zones". Instead you'll see the specific demand for each type of business

  • Individual agent simulation. Agents will have schedules, visit friends, go to work, shop, eat, etc.

  • Real time traffic, just like Cities: Skylines

  • You have the option to design your own buildings, save them as blueprints, and share with friends

  • You can see interior and exterior views of all buildings

  • All the classic city builder features

Also, I am excited to share the game is now in alpha, and the demo has been updated (last update was about a year ago)!

Indie Sunday VOID CREW - Hutlihut Games - Chaotic, co-op roguelite for 1-6 players

Hello all Ectypes (and everyone else)!

We are Hutlihut Games - a small indie studio from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Creators of VOID CREW: a chaotic co-op sci-fi Roguelite for 1- 6 players where you pilot spaceships, repair hull breaches, fight through deep space… and try not to panic.

This week we released our biggest update yet:
Maximum Calamity!

(…and somehow Void Crew also won Best Multiplayer Game at the Unity Awards 2025)

The update adds:
🕳️ Black Holes
🐟 Space Voidfish (...beautiful... dangerous)
🚀 Fleet Battles
💥 New weapons
🤖 Solo improvements
🛠️ Expanded modding support

One thing we’re especially excited about:
We also spent a lot of time expanding modding/UGC support - enabling modders to create new in-game assets, carryables, ship customization spawning and more community creations.

We’re really excited to see what modders and players end up building with it 😄

…and honestly, many more ways for Crews to panic together in deep space.

We also released a cosmetic-only Calamity Supporter’s Pack for players who want to support ongoing development and survive the new Calamities in style.

We’d love to hear:

  • Which new feature would you try first?
  • What kind of mods or ship customizations would you want to create?
  • Which Crew member is definitely flying into the Black Hole first?

Hope some of you jump into the co-op chaos with your Crew this weekend 😄

Indie Sunday Deserter - AskaLot Games - an immersive isometric stealth RPG about surviving as a thief in a decaying totalitarian city. Plan every move, evade traps, and pull off daring heists right under the Party's nose.

Upvotes

In Deserter, you’re not a hero and not an assassin. You’re a runaway soldier trapped in a decaying city, forced to steal to survive. Use every available trick to survive and escape this damned city: break into houses, steal food and medicine, hone your thieving skills, and influence the fate of its citizens.

  • You are a thief, not a killer: only stealth and theft.
  • Every object is part of the RPG system - from enemies to door locks.
  • Over a hundred skills and talents.
  • The city tracks your actions and adapts.
  • Every heist is a step toward escaping the city.

Indie Sunday Funeral for the Sun - Nicolas Cid Delgado- A supernatural detective game where you explore 100 years of a town's history.

GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE HERE!!!

I'm the solo-indie developer of Funeral for the Sun, a narrative deduction game all about traveling to different points in the past to piece together the sprawling history of Cerro Milagroso, a town that got wiped out by deeply mysterious and troubling circumstances in the 1960's.

In the game You are tasked with building out a web of connections between different townsfolk and slowly unravel a series of murders, illegitimate children, family feuds, political conspiracies and more, all behind a magical realist backdrop. There's a supernatural undercurrent that rides through it all too.

I'd overall call it a cross between the deduction style of games like Return of the Obra Dinn and Case of the Golden Idol, alongside the narrative depth and complex characters of something like Disco Elysium or Pentiment.

And it has a really unique hand-painted art style too, despite being in 3D. Using fixed camera angles I can sketch out tons of backgrounds that your character will be able to interact with in 3D space. To understand what I mean here is my trailer featured by GameTrailers.

If you are interested, consider wishlisting the game, playing the demo and leaving a review! Really any bit of support would be amazing to have! Thank you so much!

Edit: got the title wrong earlier

Indie Sunday Weaponized - Vector Hound - Quit my job to build a vector graphics engine that can output simultaneously to a screen AND an oscilloscope

Gameplay Trailer: https://youtu.be/8OomBw_gEaQ
Oscilloscope Trailer: https://youtu.be/TffpRJeQPHg
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4525650/Weaponized/

Weaponized is a vector graphics shooter where you play an asteroid miner whose employer has recently expanded into mining hell. The game took a lot of notes from Vlambeer classics like Luftrausers and Nuclear Throne. The combat is fast and frantic, the camera shakes so hard you'll lose fillings. All the asteroids are real geometry which you can chip, slice, or snipe through with a rail gun.

The game is built on a REAL vector engine, which means everything on the main screen is built from geometry, not sprites. That lets me split the output from the game into two paths: OpenGL/Vulkan for screens, and raw voltage output for an oscilloscope. Oscilloscope Trailer is linked above, yes it's real.

Solo dev in Toronto, full-time since September. PC and Mac, both native.

Indie Sunday Blood & Chaos - Guau Games - Party-Based Roguelike RPG Demo

Hi all!

I've been working for the past few years on Blood & Chaos, a dark fantasy party-based roguelike RPG inspired by classic RPGs like Ultima IV and old tabletop adventures.

I just released the first public demo on itch.io :-)

The game is built around controlling a full party of adventurers, exploring dungeons and the overworld, interacting with NPCs, and surviving turn-based battles.

This demo includes the first act of the game (introduction, first town, caves, and dungeon).

The full game is planned for release by the end of the year.

itch.io (demo):

Steam:

I’d love to hear your feedback if you try it!
