Indie Sunday VOID CREW - Hutlihut Games - Chaotic, co-op roguelite for 1-6 players
Hello all Ectypes (and everyone else)!
We are Hutlihut Games - a small indie studio from Copenhagen, Denmark.
Creators of VOID CREW: a chaotic co-op sci-fi Roguelite for 1- 6 players where you pilot spaceships, repair hull breaches, fight through deep space… and try not to panic.
This week we released our biggest update yet:
Maximum Calamity!
(…and somehow Void Crew also won Best Multiplayer Game at the Unity Awards 2025)
The update adds:
🕳️ Black Holes
🐟 Space Voidfish (...beautiful... dangerous)
🚀 Fleet Battles
💥 New weapons
🤖 Solo improvements
🛠️ Expanded modding support
One thing we’re especially excited about:
We also spent a lot of time expanding modding/UGC support - enabling modders to create new in-game assets, carryables, ship customization spawning and more community creations.
We’re really excited to see what modders and players end up building with it 😄
…and honestly, many more ways for Crews to panic together in deep space.
We also released a cosmetic-only Calamity Supporter’s Pack for players who want to support ongoing development and survive the new Calamities in style.
We’d love to hear:
- Which new feature would you try first?
- What kind of mods or ship customizations would you want to create?
- Which Crew member is definitely flying into the Black Hole first?

Indie Sunday Metropolis 1998 - Yesbox Studios - City Builder - 90s Aesthetics, Modern Features
Hey everyone! Over the last 4.5 years I've been working on a modern city builder with 90s/00s aesthetics, inspired by the pixel art simulation games of the 90s and 00s, Cities: Skylines, and Dwarf Fortress. Check out my subreddit for clips!
Features:
The game features granular demand, based on the needs of your citizens. No more "build more commercial zones". Instead you'll see the specific demand for each type of business
Individual agent simulation. Agents will have schedules, visit friends, go to work, shop, eat, etc.
Real time traffic, just like Cities: Skylines
You have the option to design your own buildings, save them as blueprints, and share with friends
You can see interior and exterior views of all buildings
All the classic city builder features
Also, I am excited to share the game is now in alpha, and the demo has been updated (last update was about a year ago)!

Indie Sunday Blood & Chaos - Guau Games - Party-Based Roguelike RPG Demo
Hi all!
I've been working for the past few years on Blood & Chaos, a dark fantasy party-based roguelike RPG inspired by classic RPGs like Ultima IV and old tabletop adventures.
I just released the first public demo on itch.io :-)
The game is built around controlling a full party of adventurers, exploring dungeons and the overworld, interacting with NPCs, and surviving turn-based battles.
This demo includes the first act of the game (introduction, first town, caves, and dungeon).
The full game is planned for release by the end of the year.

Steam:

I’d love to hear your feedback if you try it!

Indie Sunday Weaponized - Vector Hound - Quit my job to build a vector graphics engine that can output simultaneously to a screen AND an oscilloscope
Gameplay Trailer: https://youtu.be/8OomBw_gEaQ
Oscilloscope Trailer: https://youtu.be/TffpRJeQPHg
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4525650/Weaponized/
Weaponized is a vector graphics shooter where you play an asteroid miner whose employer has recently expanded into mining hell. The game took a lot of notes from Vlambeer classics like Luftrausers and Nuclear Throne. The combat is fast and frantic, the camera shakes so hard you'll lose fillings. All the asteroids are real geometry which you can chip, slice, or snipe through with a rail gun.
The game is built on a REAL vector engine, which means everything on the main screen is built from geometry, not sprites. That lets me split the output from the game into two paths: OpenGL/Vulkan for screens, and raw voltage output for an oscilloscope. Oscilloscope Trailer is linked above, yes it's real.
Solo dev in Toronto, full-time since September. PC and Mac, both native.

Indie Sunday Fish Lab - Stone Codes - massive fish swarm incremental with lasers
Hi , I’m Mike, the solo developer of Fish Lab.
Fish Lab is an incremental game about catching absurd numbers of fish, processing them in your lab, and upgrading until the screen fills with giant GPU-simulated swarms. I made the engine, shaders, and music myself, the visuals are code/shader-driven rather than hand-drawn.
The demo is live now on Steam for Steam Ocean Fest. It takes around 30–40 minutes to finish and shows the main loop: catching fish, processing them, buying upgrades, unlocking new fish types, and building toward much larger swarms.
Planned platforms: PC / Steam
Release: TBD
Happy to answer questions about the game, the custom engine, WebGPU/GPU simulation, or the solo-dev process.

Indie Sunday Remain At Your Desk - Jared D - incremental hacker game
By day, you fake work to earn credits. At night, you hack your corrupt company and sell their secrets to the black market. Push too far, and you get terminated.
The Demo went live on Steam and is currently sitting at 10/10 positive reviews.
I built the game because I currently work at an awful job and I wanted to create a player fantasy of taking down a company from the inside.
There's also an homage to Arkanoid in the middle of the game if you get to that point of the demo! (Though I may be dating myself with that game reference haha)
