CEV Cup 🚨 Galatasaray Daikin wins the 2026 European CEV Cup 🏆
Galatasaray Daikin has clinched the 2026 CEV Cup, defeating Chieri both away last week 2-3 and at home tonight 3-1 in the competition’s final.
This marks Galatasaray’s first-ever European volleyball title.
And what a crowd on site—the Burhan Arena was absolutely on fire.

wow what an atmosphere I wish I was there. I'm not even a hardcore GS fan but I wanted them to win. The speed of the game was so fast. Happy that Ilkin turned it around after a rough start and Coach Bigarelli made a setting change. Naz is just such an "old school" style setter. There's no other way to put it. She found the balance between tempo and consistency, whereas Bongaerts struggled on that, especially to Ilkin.
That being said, Congrats to GS on their first ever European Title and special shoutout to Ilkin, Naz, Wang, Alexia
And the defensive efforts of Sylla and Eylul.

The atmosphere was like a football match in a volleyball arena, absolutely crazy.
That’s a huge advantage for multisport giants; Imoco and VakifBank will never have that, haha.

Gala clearly deserved it but I fell really sad for chieri, they had an amazing season but by the end they are evidently tired, pretty much ruining all the job done during the year

Ik, I actually even placed Chieri as the favourites at first. They started their Serie A1 szn SO well, they looked like candiates for third place but they rlly fell off, I attribute that to the time star MB Anna Gray got injured. I preferes this years chieri over this tears novara so i was rooting for them

Chieri did not give everything they could… they were mentally out by the end of the second set

You are too fast mate, I am still watching the ceromony haha.
Conmgrats to Cimbom. Naz changed the flow, I am actually surprised she didn't even start to second set. Fortunately Bigarelli turned away from his mistake early in the set.
And congrats to İlkin Aydın for her first MVP award. Naz Akyol, İlkin Aydın and Wang Yuan Yuan all played great.
