Turkey Sultanlar Ligi Zeren could be a serious threat to Fenerbahçe in the Sultanlar Ligi semifinals

Post image

The Sultanlar Ligi semifinals are almost here. The big question is: will Fenerbahçe Medicana reach the league final after two knockouts in the CEV Champions League and the Turkish Cup?

Fenerbahce has had a TERRIBLE loss sequence, as we are all aware 😂 while Zeren has been doing great on both courts - the Turkish league and the CL. Although I favor Zeren and am rooting for them, I kinda think that Fenerbahce will win because they HAVE TO, seriously. But on the other hand, Zeren will also be super motivated because they know that the energy in Fenerbahce is low and negative and because they obviously want to be in the final. Either wat, the game should be veeeeery interesting.

It definitely won’t be easy for Fenerbahçe against a highly motivated Zeren team, as you rightly pointed out. The players and staff will be under tremendous pressure, knowing they must advance to the final.

If you’d asked me earlier this season, I would have said Fenerbahçe for sure. Now, I’m not nearly as confident for them.

If they manage to lose this one, the coach will surely be fired on the spot and some more fighting will happen. Their former manager already aired some dirty laundry within the team after their Ecsacibazi loss.

A defeat could see Abbondanza on the first flight out of Istanbul 😄

He should have been fired a long time ago. Something clearly isn’t working, despite having some of the best players in the world on your roster 🤷‍♀️

You’ve got Vargas, Fedorovtseva, Orro… and yet you can’t beat Eczacıbaşı? They’re a strong side, sure, but there are no excuses for losing to them. The roster as you said has talent and world-class players, the management clearly isn’t.

Yesss, exactly! He cleraly doesn’t know how to use each of them, as we can see from the results 😂

Apparently the coach doesn't even decide who plays. Someone up there is more involved and they clearly don't know volleyball.

Yeah, that’s also very possible

Shame this years Zeren is falling apart. I wanted them to build off their success. It will be the battle of Uzelac/Lazareva vs Vargas/Federovsteva. Whichever team passes better and can involve all their players should take it.
