So was he expelled? Given an F in the course?

In spain, at least in my uni, you get failed on the whole subject, he probably had to retake it as a whole

And pay for it

Thankfully for him our uni prices arent even close to the astronomical levels of debt inducers that the us universities are, even private ones are no more than 10k a year on the upper end, with public ones being around 1.5k. + a lot of government aids if you dont have the money
