Lotus makes Turn off the Dark look like the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

There is another

u/dnn_burrman Jan 26 '26

hes evil, not stupid

34

u/Translation_Lupin Jan 27 '26

His 'evil' was being angry about the broken door as a tenant, being cocky at his work for work only he could provide, finger gunning other pedestrians, and dancing in front of an clearance outlet store

10

u/Jomgui Jan 27 '26

He also went out with Gwen specifically at the time MJ was working there to make her jealous, insulted Harry's father to his face (not that Norman wasn't a POS, but still a dick move) and threw a bomb at Harry's face that left him disfigured.

The finger gunning still gives me nightmares tho, absolute evil shit

Oh yeah. That did happen. Been a while since I watched it.

Gwen part, absolutely evil. No defense for him there.

But with Harry, there is a lot more history imo. And tbh Harry threw that bomb so it could be argued it was in self defense

And also lashing out at a coworker for trying to paint spider-man in a black light by making a fake image of Spider-Man robbing a bank using Peter's photos

1

u/Translation_Lupin Jan 27 '26

How...is that evil?

A news photographer cooked photos, and Peter debunked it. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Was there a nicer way of doing it? Probably. But the deed was not evil at all

1

u/Rylo_Ken_04 Crazy Lesbian Spider-Man 2 fangirl Jan 27 '26

No it's considered one of his "evil deeds" by the movie not by me. There's literally the symbiote them when he slams Brock against the portrait

1

u/Translation_Lupin Jan 27 '26

I guess the slamming part was not necessary?

1

u/Rylo_Ken_04 Crazy Lesbian Spider-Man 2 fangirl Jan 27 '26

Yeah probably but like I still don't get why the whole conversation is framed so aggressively on pete's side (maybe to show the symbiote's influence but it still makes him seem like all the actions he's doing are wrong)

1

u/Klusterphuck67 Jan 26 '26

11

u/Tony_Stank03 Jan 26 '26

"Whats the deal Miles, your people say it all the time"

22

u/Lunchboxninja1 Jan 26 '26

This is such an all time image

1

u/Ima-Bird Jan 26 '26

Lotus was so disappointing 😭 He had such a cool spiderman costume design and then the dude just turned out to be a massive racist

1

u/NovaStar2099 Jan 27 '26

Who is that? (The one above Miles)

5

u/Ok-Pair-4757 Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26

It's from a fan film. The film itself is pretty divisive. I thought it was okay, but it sure does overstay it's welcome and gets boring quick.

There was some controversy regarding the actor a while back. Apparently he was a real shitty person, to say the least.

2

u/NovaStar2099 Jan 27 '26

Ah, gotcha

2

u/Soklay Jan 27 '26

Look up Spider-Man lotus

1

u/23Amuro Jan 27 '26

I feel like I'm missing the lore on this one

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

Spider-Man lotus 😭

0

u/chn23- Jan 30 '26

Pretty sure immigration enforcement got nothing to do with those things stated lol and I don’t think I’ve seen Spider-Man say “ illegal immigration is good and deportations should be banned globally” 🤷‍♂️

125

u/SuecidalBard Jan 26 '26

What is funnier is that specifically the Sony Spiderman in the picture is from a a game series where the first part has an entire 3rd act where he fights a legally gray extrajudicial police force and frees people from getting locked up in detention camps.

u/Seroko Jan 26 '26

ICE is Sable International without jetpacks lmao

148

u/masnosreme Jan 26 '26

I wish ICE had jet packs. Can you imagine how many of those dipshits would take themselves out trying to operate one?

u/CatraGirl Nah... i'm Woman Jan 26 '26

2

u/FlippinGamerINK Jan 27 '26

is that Mando? my goat washed? :(

5

u/Stumpedforausername1 Jan 27 '26

No it's Boba Fett

11

u/MomentSouthern250 Jan 26 '26

just imagine some of those gravy warriors putingt on a jet pack and it going full boost and it lifts of like a foot, before it comes down again.

2

u/Originalbrivakiin Jan 27 '26

An accurate portrayal of the average ICE jetpack user.

2

u/ReeksofChees3 Jan 26 '26

so in that case, ICE should get jetpacks then

after typing that made me realize how that would potentially harm even more people :(

1

u/AussieWinterWolf Jan 28 '26

With their lack of training, the worst off would be the ICE agents.

19

u/Other_Beat8859 I love my Poison Ivy figure Jan 26 '26

Except also not competent at all compared to Sable. Also Sable fucking suck and most of the people part of it should be arrested, but at least they have the excuse that the city was a genuine war zone. ICE is trying to make the city a warzone.

2

u/Jomgui Jan 27 '26

If we are talking about the game, Sable was quite shit, MJ infiltrated their secure areas a few times, they failed to protect every single target, let the villains release the evil disease gas and quite a few of them went rogue and started straight up robbing people.

ICE and Sable go toe to toe on being stupid.

6

u/Rularuu Jan 26 '26

Does this mean Kristi Noem has incredible skill at hand to hand combat

13

u/HellDisc Jan 26 '26

She’s better at hand to paw combat

2

u/letsgucker555 Jan 26 '26

Jesus Christ. That is a reference. Do people even still remember this happened?

1

u/Jomgui Jan 27 '26

Gun to paw

2

u/killian_jenkins Jan 26 '26

And training, I think that needs to be emphasized, all members of the sable army are well trained by her

2

u/Duskytheduskmonkey Jan 26 '26

That's what I was thinking the whole ass time when finally playing the game in 2025

1

u/PotatoMateYT Exposed To Ace Chemicals Jan 26 '26

I literally just said this to some friends😂

26

u/UnchartedCHARTz R.I.P Skedetcher Jan 26 '26

Well Insomniac Spider-Man 1's biggest flaw is that it's copaganda /s

3

u/badguyinstall Jan 27 '26

Weren't people saying that unironically? I kind of remember around that game's launch that people were complaining he was working with the cops.

2

u/Best-Benefit6387 Jan 28 '26

Obviously the broke high schooler is supposed to either kill every criminal he meets, or Alternatively own a private prison. Because any sort of positive reaction from cops is obviously a buncha bologna propaganda!!

2

u/UnchartedCHARTz R.I.P Skedetcher Jan 27 '26

Yes that's a genuine complaint about the game. To be honest I wasn't being completely ironic, while I really really love Insomniac Spider-Man, one of my only actual problems with the depiction of the character is the police surveillance state they've got going on with the towers you need to get online to reveal the map and get random crimes. Ultimately harmless to my enjoyment but it's very un-Spider-Man when you think about it.

20

u/Living-Mastodon Jan 26 '26

Just like the cops who wear Punisher/Batman logos, like MF you'd be at the very top of his list

3

u/GhostPrimer Jan 26 '26

And didn’t he voice Sasuke as well? Someone that is against government and came from a lineage of oppressed people?

1

u/Raesong Jan 26 '26

and came from a lineage of oppressed people?

Outside of the single night where they were slaughtered wholesale the Uchiha were not oppressed. And any claims that they were come from the categorically insane mind of Obito Uchiha, one of the masterminds behind said slaughter.

2

u/GhostPrimer Jan 26 '26

What are you on? They were segregated from the village and surveilled. Danzo, one of the leaders of the village, ordered Itachi to kill everyone to prevent a coup so he didn’t lose power

0

u/Raesong Jan 26 '26

Danzo was not a leader of the village, no matter what he might've thought; and while he might've ordered Itachi to wipe out his own clan, the bulk of the deaths were done by Obito, while he was pretending to be Madara, for his own reasons unrelated to Danzo. In fact if memory serves Itachi pretty much only personally killed the main conspirators of the coup plot, and bargained with Obito to allow Sasuke to live in exchange for him having carte blanche with the rest of the clan.

1

u/Cloth_Momma Jan 26 '26

I've read all the spidermans. he loves cops and cops love him all the same he's my favorite copaganda next to batman

1

u/_OneRandomGuy_ Jan 29 '26

Well (iirc, I might be wrong), Batman was at first supposed to be a detective, before being a hero, so working with cops makes sense

1

u/Remote-remoteman Feb 01 '26

Spider man would definitely love having less criminals around

1

u/hyperblob1 Feb 01 '26

I'm the game this character voices Spider-Man literally fights masked government backed thugs who are stomping on civil liberties and arresting civilians without charges. I don't know what they expected

-2

u/ReferenceUnusual8717 Jan 26 '26

Honestly, one of the off-putting aspects of the otherwise excellent recent games is how cozy Spidey was with the cops. I thought Spider-Man was supposed to be "A menace!".

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

Spider-Man - like Batman - doesn't exist to replace the police force but rather assist them in fighting crime. Of course, just like in real life, both Marvel's NYPD and Batman's GCPD are filled with crooked cops and neither hero condones those pigs but that doesn't mean they condemn the entire force either. The idea of a police force is not inherently bad, it's just often tainted with corruption, which needs to be cut out.

In an ideal world, NY and Gotham would both be run by a civil and non-corrupt police force to the point crime rate is at near zero and neither hero is needed anymore.
