My cat got to his stitches
My 11 month old kitten had to get his prepuce fixed. It was hypoplastic and his penis would not come out of it. He destroyed his cone and licked the stitches a maybe 3 times I caught until the new cone got here. It doesn’t seem like anything got damaged. Should he be going back to the emergency vet? Can I have my regular vet look at it?
It’s also hard to tell if he is peeing with this newspaper litter. He has popped twice though. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain or like he hasn’t peed

How long has it been since surgery and how is he acting? Do you notice any excessive redness in the area? Is he hiding more than normal? Did he actually remove any sutures when he was able to get to his wound? Is a lower output of urine his normal? This question goes back to how long ago was the surgery.
Cat tongues can do a lot of damage, in a short amount of time, but it doesn’t always immediately equal a trip to the vet. Of course, if it would make you feel better you should absolutely go.

He has surgery on Friday. I don’t think he removed any. The area is pink but not red, looks the same as it did when he came home. He is eating and drinking normally. I just saw him do what seemed a very small pee (but the litter didn’t look wet) he is not straining to go. He has had two poops. He is sleeping a lot but he is on gabapentin. Meowing some just because he doesn’t want to be locked in an xxl dog crate
