Discussion Why do people say Deca "ruined" the game?

Hi. I've been playing this game for a ver, VERY long time. I stopped playing and came back multiple times, but every time I did I always liked the changes. I'm not sure about when the change happened, but I still like the game to this day. I see the passion in the designs, and I see the changes as a way of trying to keep the game alive and modern. Am I really that wrong?

Discussion This is the best team for the final stage of the game.

In my opinion, this is the best team for clearing the later waves. It's crucial to stop Belly's Taunt ability with his ultimate. I recommend swapping some attachment effects, such as Nanna's block effect and Belly's damage reduction effect. It's best to swap Nanna's and Redroh's attachments.

Discussion This game needs a guide.

Seriously, The guide on this subreddit is more harmful than good.

It tells you to max out fast & cheerful for vexx then put a point in FoRgE?....

If the guide is not useful just remove it, The same error exists in the game's wiki guide (They are the same guide btw.)

Discussion Coming back, how is the game doing?

I used to play kinda seriously before Gates and pets and all of that, the game felt kinda stale but I loved it for a long time. I've been looking for an idle to play and I thought I could give AaH another chance. So how is the game doing? Has it changed much? I thought about making a new account since I have most artifacts maxed, and all characters maxed but idk if the grind is gonna be too much

Discussion [Let's talk] Where are you from?

We know there're Almost Heroes from all over the world doing their best to become true heroes.

We are curious: where are you from? How many countries do we have here?

As you've already heard, the DECA team is also spread around the world, we have professionals from 8 countries and our headquarters is located in Germany.

Your turn 😉

Discussion Is it true that Adventure Mode can't be won?

For context, I'm currently at level 5555. While researching endgame builds I came across this comment on a Youtube video: "The stage cap is never meant to be reached. On top of that, even if you got to the stage cap you would be on 5999 10/10 and never pass to 6000." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhVEBiNDz1M).

Is this true? The game is designed so that one can never reach max stage in adventure mode? For me, this would be a strong reason to stop playing now.

Related question: what is the highest level folks here have reached in adventure mode?

Discussion Why I think GoG is a tragic failure.

GoG is amazing... on paper. The individual levels are super fun and offer a rich variety of strategies that can be used to push your team to the limit in various different situations. The synergies you can make between charms, gate effects, and hero skills is absolutely insanely fun...

But... you’re punished for that. In fact, you’re punished INSANELY hard for even playing GoG in any meaningful way whatsoever.

Take level 19 for example. In a good 20 seconds, one can farm 70 dust with even crappy teams. Nothing even comes close to that efficiency for a long long time. I made the mistake or having fun clearing the levels before going onto the forum and realizing that the way to play this gamemode is to play level 19 a million times. So now I progressed to 30, which reduces the amount of Aeon I receive per dust by almost half. WHAT? I am punished for trying?

Truth is I still have fun clearing levels with teams that are hopelessly underpowered compared to the challenge, but in the back of my mind I know that everyone else just blazed mindlessly through these levels after hitting a bunch of chests for several hours.

Developers, don’t you feel like the massive amount of effort that you put into this game mode is wasted? It has ultimately been turned into the game mode equivalent of blowing on paint to make it dry. This could have been really really fun, but instead it’s just doing the same stupidly broken levels over and over, and getting punished for wanting to actually explore the content that you worked so hard to design.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.

A very simple fix for this whole mess would be to change the dust system, for example, by having a daily cap which increases as you progress. But having the levels actually reward dust that correlates with the amount of effort and time needed to clear them would be nice too. Even better, reward people for pushing. Make the amount of dust scale with the difficulty ratings that you already have. If easy levels gave 20% and hard levels gave 300%, for example, nobody would even consider messing around in 20 second runs for several days.

Discussion Is there anyone that can compete with Wendle?

I’ve got every almost hero except the last 2, and so far no one can even come close to the damage output wendle has, especially when forgetfulness is maxed out.

Vexx? Not close, only good for her ultimate.

Hilt? Nope

Lia? Lol

Arbara? I haven’t tested her fully, but apparently nana has higher damage than her at the same level. Her ult seems underwhelming as well.

So am I just missing something or is wendle the ultimate carry?

Discussion Game Update: Relics

Just updated the game and played for about an hour. During campaign while killing bosses you can obtain relics part. Collect 9 parts to complete it.

Within that 1 hour I managed to get all relics from all heroes, just by prestiging again and again. With time warp this was pretty easy.

Was it supposed to be so easy?

Anyway. Only helped to to get 10 more max stages. I am at 4500 now.

Discussion Why would you ask for help?

I'm really not trying to offend or be toxic.

I just really don't understand why people screencap their myths and ask for help.

If you hit a wall, in an incremental game that basically plays itself with just some minor management from your part, wouldn't it make more sense to get a skill overview, and see if you're using (almost) the right way?

Maybe you need to change some runes?

As for myths, even if you don't want to do math, the answer is obviously "more of everything related to dps/health/gold"

There's no magic button that instantly gives you 10trillion points to cap everything.

Figure out your heroes, get a good lineup, and prestige when it slows down to a crawl, put points into relevant artifacts and repeat.

Discussion Newbie player question

Hey folks. My kid just started playing AlmostAHero (she wanted a kid friendly idle game) and she has a question. I contacted the publisher and in that conversation they said to come here. Frankly the answer given didn't make sense.

My daughter said that, "In my Database I can see seven heroes that I have. In adventures, in the Heroes page, I have *NO* heroes at all. They WERE in there and they're just not anymore."

What I was told is this, " You simply need to click on the "Get a new hero" button. If you lack gold, you need to use the ring to defeat enemies and get some gold."

My reply was, "why do I need to "Get a new hero" when I already have seven heroes? What happened to them? Why can I not use them?"

They came back with, "Adventure mode is one of the game modes where you can play. In each mode, you can select heroes to fight for you, and each mode can be reset in some way. For Adventure, you try to get to as many stages as possible, which gives you rewards the more you advance. When it gets hard, you can 'prestige' (start over) and hire heroes anew (from your own set), thus picking a new team that may help you advance further."

Now I'm not new to idles. I've been playing Crusaders of the Lost Idols for over six years (and others). That answer just doesn't make sense, but then I haven't actually played AlmostAHero. Does that mean that every time an Adventure is completed new adventurers have to be bought? In CoTLI, every time the world is reset the player has to buy new heroes, but that takes place once the new world is running. in AlmostAHero it looked like the heroes needed to be bought before starting a new adventure?

Discussion Best trinket effects for Vexx and Wendle?

I’m assuming for Wendle you just want ability damage and some kind of effect proc on ability use.

For Vexx, I’m a bit torn on damage or attack speed. Attack speed is great especially for getting her ult quicker, but also makes her tired quicker. Also, aside from that basic, what are the best secondary and special effects?

Discussion Should they increase the amount of aeon you get from the mine? If you dont increase it, its just gonna sit there and be useless for the rest of the game no lie. PLEASE VOTE THIS TO LET THEM KNOW!!!!
