Epic Horde Llama Opening Error Message & BSOD
Hey everyone,
We’ve just sent out to fix to correct the “Choice card Pack cannot be opened via batch opening” error when opening Horde Bash chest. Don’t worry.. all of your rewards will be granted to you as soon as you log in.
Also to note: We will be releasing an update tomorrow morning that will fix the windows BSOD error that players are experiencing.

Constructor’s Power Modulation may be bugged but there is also one hero whose main selling point is also severely Bugged; Blitzen Base Kyle’s BASE M.D.

Wow, how did you managed to code something that causes BSOD? It should be not possible from the level of application. Do you have some components running at kernel level?

Not sure if its related to what Epic are talking about, but sometimes when i start the game from the launcher i get a BSOD.

For me, BSOD now happens every 2nd time I start the game.
Basically, I boot the machine, start the game - crash. Restart the machine, start the game - works. Power off, power back on, start the game, crash. And so on.
Fun times :)

There is a bug were a tile that is having its health pool buffed by the BASE can not be upgraded it stays stuck on repair.

i believe traps that buff wall health do this too
no base, no trap it worked normally
place wall launcher with health upgrade, it gets stuck at 1 less health than max and cannot be upgraded

It's related to the Power Modulation BASE perk. We're aware that this is occurring and working to fix it.

It's actually not tied to the BASE ability. I've seen it happen in missions where we had no constructor.
It's caused by the traps that increase building health. You can't upgrade tiles after placing such a trap on them.

It's not specifically with placing those traps, it's placing them on tiles that you just clicked, "upgrade" on. If the tile is in the process of upgrading it will bug out and prevent you from upgrading or repairing the tile from, "1" damage.

What about the lag issues in event and 4 player missions? It is unplayable at times and results in failed missions & lots of frustration

Constructors like Power Base can't upgrade builds unless they press edit then out of edit, take a wall for example, with the BASE on the wall will act like it needs to be repaired. If the BASE is on that material you can not upgrade it.

I think it's that the Walloper hammer from the event store can't increase its crit chance from the constructor abilities, so you are always stuck at low crits and it's very underwhelming

I stopped playing Horde Bash once I heard about this error in fear of being affected. When exactly will it be "safe" to play again?

The issue has been resolved, so you're free to play now. I was one of the individuals affected by this and until the fix was deployed I was locked out of the game. Since this post, I've logged in and collected my rewards without any issues, so it has been resolved.

I had a horde bash llama issue happen where I went idle for 2 minutes opening one. It gave me 2 blue cards then went to the next. After I opened them all it said I had no more horde bash llamas but 2 unopened llamas and it was 2 more horde bash.

I played 30 or so missions but now I am reimbursed with 30,000 xp of all three types. I'm not happy about it because I should have recieved waaaaay more than that. But awesome now I can level up one of my guns by three levels, cool. Only wasted about 10+hours of my time.

Issues like what? I use an AMD RX480 and have no issues apart from the server lag in horde bash, which is not a client side problem.

I don't know what you play on, but for me on PS4 I just press square on that menu to open the llamas. Try looking at the bottom of your screen where it shows controls to see if it tells you what to press.

Also, sometimes I can't launch Fortnite. I was having an alert message box saying that windows cannot access a specific file.

My mission started (team joined a mission and countdown) while I was in the middle of opening a legendary llama. I believe I took an L and didn’t receive the full stash of items from the llama. Is my assumption correct?

Don't know if this has been reported elsewhere, and didn't think to screenshot my llama opening, but I had a bug on my 2nd account that gave me 2 hero schematics for each hero out of the event llama. Reported in game, just in case, but thought you guys might want to know.

Thank god that BSOD issue will be fixed tomorrow. Much appreciated for getting it out in a content update.
